Privacy Policy — AfterHouse

Last updated: July 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how AfterHouse, operated by Fernando de Lucas da Silva Gomes, processes personal data when you use the AfterHouse application (iOS and Android).

Personal data is processed in accordance with the legal bases described in this Policy, including performance of a contract and, where applicable, user consent.

Summary

AfterHouse collects the user's email address to create and authenticate the account, as well as name, username, and profile photo when provided. The app also processes reviews, blocks, reports, AfterLive content (event reactions and comments), and other content created by the user.

Periodically, we may present in-app surveys (short and not mandatory) to understand satisfaction and improve the product. You may answer, dismiss, or ignore them. Responses are collected without being linked to your account identifier — we do not associate the content of a response with your user ID.

Some data may be stored locally on the device, and some is stored on servers in Supabase infrastructure located in the United States.

We use this data to operate the application, enable email link login, display profiles, facilitate reviews and AfterLive, run optional product surveys, moderate content, respond to requests, send push notifications (with your authorization), and display advertisements through Google AdMob.

When posting on AfterLive, the app may request your precise location (while in use) to confirm that you are near the event. This location is used at the time of posting and is not stored as location history.

With your authorization, we send push notifications when someone replies to your take. For this, we use OneSignal, which receives account identifiers and device push tokens.

We use Mixpanel to understand app usage (interaction events, account identifier when logged in) and Firebase Remote Config to adjust the application experience. Analytics events may record that a survey was presented, dismissed, or submitted (for example, the survey identifier), without including response text in Mixpanel.

AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, and usage information for advertising, measurement, and fraud prevention.

You can delete your account within the application. When this occurs, data linked to the account is removed, subject to possible technical backup retention for up to one week and applicable legal obligations.

Users may exercise rights of access, correction, deletion, objection, and other rights provided under applicable law by contacting us at the privacy email address.

Full version

1. Who we are

AfterHouse is a social application focused on sharing opinions about music and albums, where users can create an account, rate albums, write reviews, share notes, and interact with other users through profiles, blocks, reports, and other social features.

AfterLive is the in-app feature to mark presence at events, react to the night, and post comments about music and nightlife events.

AfterHouse is operated by Fernando de Lucas da Silva Gomes, who is responsible for processing the personal data collected in the context of the application and serves as the point of contact for privacy, data protection, and legal notices.

2. Target audience and eligibility

AfterHouse is intended for users aged 14 or older.

If you are under 14 years of age, you must not use the application or provide personal data.

3. What data we collect

3.1 Data you provide

  • Email: required for account creation, authentication, and access to the application
  • Name: optional
  • Username: set by the user after account creation
  • Profile photo: optional
  • Review content, comments, and other text: includes opinions, ratings, messages, and other content published in the application
  • AfterLive content: reactions to events, comments on event feeds, and other text published in this feature
  • Reports and moderation requests: information submitted when reporting content, users, events, or AfterLive posts
  • Responses to optional in-app surveys: periodically, AfterHouse may display non-mandatory surveys about product use (e.g., satisfaction with Home). You may answer, dismiss (“don’t answer”), or ignore them. The content of responses is collected and stored without being linked to your account identifier — we do not associate responses with your user ID. Separately, we may record that you already completed or dismissed a given survey, solely so we do not show it again inappropriately; that participation record does not contain the text of the responses.

3.2 Data generated through use of the application

  • Login and authentication information
  • History of actions performed within the app
  • User-created content, such as reviews, AfterLive posts, blocks, and social interactions
  • Technical usage logs, as necessary for operation, security, and support

3.3 Precise location (while in use)

When posting on AfterLive, the app may request access to your precise location (while using the app).

We use this location only at the time of posting, to verify that you are near the event (geofence). We do not store location coordinates as a location history linked to your account after this verification.

3.4 Data collected automatically by third parties and integrated technologies

When you use the application, third-party services integrated into AfterHouse may collect and process certain data, including:

  • Google AdMob (advertising): device identifiers, advertising identifier, IP address, approximate location, application usage information, ad interactions, data for fraud prevention, measurement, and ad delivery
  • Mixpanel (usage analytics): account identifier when logged in, app interaction events, technical device and session information
  • OneSignal (push notifications): device push token, account identifier when logged in, delivery metadata and notification interaction (e.g., deep link opens)
  • Google Firebase Remote Config (remote configuration): technical identifiers and usage signals to adjust experience parameters in the app

AfterHouse does not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on the user.

3.5 Data stored locally on the device

The application may store cached data locally using native Apple technologies, such as SwiftData, to improve performance, user experience, and offline or temporary operation.

4. How we use data

We use personal data for the following purposes:

  • creating and maintaining your account
  • authenticating your access via a link sent by email
  • enabling you to use the application's features, including AfterLive
  • displaying your profile to other users, according to your settings and the app's rules
  • enabling the creation, publication, and viewing of reviews and AfterLive content
  • presenting optional in-app surveys periodically, and analyzing responses in aggregated form / not linked to the account ID
  • verifying proximity to the event when posting on AfterLive (precise location, while in use)
  • enabling blocks between users
  • receiving and reviewing reports of reviews, users, events, and AfterLive posts
  • moderating reported or inappropriate content
  • responding to support requests
  • sending transactional emails, including login and confirmation links
  • sending push notifications, with your authorization, including notices when someone replies to your take
  • measuring and understanding application usage (Mixpanel)
  • adjusting experience parameters (Firebase Remote Config)
  • improving the stability, performance, and security of the application
  • preventing fraud, abuse, and misuse
  • displaying advertisements through Google AdMob, which may be personalized or non-personalized depending on the user's location, device settings, and, where required by law, consent provided
  • measuring ad performance and related events
  • complying with legal, regulatory, or judicial obligations

5. Legal basis for processing

Depending on the situation and applicable jurisdiction, we process personal data based on one or more of the following legal grounds:

  • performance of a contract or preliminary steps related to use of the app
  • consent, where required by law or where you expressly authorize us (e.g., push notifications, precise location when posting on AfterLive, personalized advertising where applicable)
  • legitimate interest, especially for security, fraud prevention, service operation, application improvement, and optional product surveys (including aggregated analysis of responses not linked to the account ID), always taking into account the user's rights and freedoms
  • compliance with a legal or regulatory obligation
  • regular exercise of rights in administrative, judicial, or arbitration proceedings, where applicable

Where specific consent is required by law, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. For push notifications, you can disable them in your device settings at any time.

6. How we share data

We may share personal data with third parties strictly to enable the operation of the application or to comply with legal obligations, including:

  • Supabase, used for authentication, database, and application infrastructure

  • OneSignal receives push tokens and account identifiers to deliver notifications and record interactions with them.
  • Firebase Remote Config receives technical signals to adjust experience parameters (e.g., onboarding and in-app tips).

6.3 Music, albums, and third-party content

AfterHouse may display information related to musical works, including artist names, album titles, release dates, musical genres, album cover images (“album artwork”), promotional images, and other metadata obtained from third-party databases and services, including but not limited to MusicBrainz and related services.

Album covers, artwork, promotional images, names, trademarks, logos, and other elements associated with musical works may be protected by copyright, registered trademarks, and other intellectual property rights belonging to the respective artists, record labels, distributors, rights holders, or their licensors.

AfterHouse does not claim ownership of these materials, and their display occurs exclusively for:

  • identification and contextualization of musical works;
  • organization and discovery of content;
  • publication of opinions, reviews, comments, and cultural discussions by users;
  • informational and reference purposes within the application.

The display of such content does not imply affiliation, partnership, sponsorship, approval, or endorsement by artists, record labels, streaming platforms, or rights holders, unless expressly stated.

AfterHouse is an independent platform and has no official affiliation with artists, record labels, distributors, streaming platforms, or music rights holders.

If a rights holder believes that certain content displayed in the application violates intellectual property rights, they may contact us through the channels indicated in this Policy for review and possible removal of the material, where applicable.
